Sister Wives Spoilers: Is The Brown Family Becoming a Liability for TLC?
Sister Wives spoilers reveal that after season 17 ended with quite a bang, fans have spent a good deal of time discussing the show’s survival and whether there will even be an 18th season. Has the Brown Family become a liability for the TLC Network? Read on and we’ll spill the polygamy tea.
Sister Wives: Brown Kids Revealing Secrets Doesn’t Bode Well for TLC
Sister Wives spoilers reveal that, according to Cheat Sheet, while TLC has remained silent on the future of the show, most viewers have assumed it was a given – until now. Throughout the past several weeks, several members of the rather expansive polygamist family have come forward to spill more secrets about the family.
The revelation of these secrets has led fans to speculate that the Brown Family may very well prove too much of a liability for the TLC network. Will the network decide this cash cow isn’t worth the cost?
Sister Wives Season 17 Was the Most Explosive of All
Season 17 premiered on September 11, 2022, and it chronicled the Brown family as they dealt with the fallout from Christine, 50, and Kody Brown’s abrupt divorce. The TLC network also documented Christine’s move back to Salt Lake City, Utah, and the path there was filled with drama, fights, and raw emotion.
However, the mother of six’s journey towards independence was apparently just the tip of an iceberg. By the time the Sister Wives Tell-all episodes rolled around Kody, 54, was down to just one wife, his fourth, Robyn Brown, 44. Janelle Brown, 53, announced she was done with Kody during the tell-all episodes.
Meri Brown, 52, took to Instagram a few weeks later to reveal that she and Kody had permanently called it quits. Though she had also hinted at the divorce during the tell-all episodes. But again, there was much more to come.
Kody Brown’s Children Spill the Tea
While Sister Wives’ 17th season was certainly explosive, the drama had only begun. Since the final tell-all episode aired, several of the Brown children have come forward to spill the polygamy tea. Paedon Brown, 24, and Mykelti Brown, 26, have come forward to reveal that Meri Brown was verbally abusive to them as children.
Paedon, for his part, also described violent outbursts from their father Kody, who has 18 children altogether. Gwendlyn Brown, 21, also let the cat out of the proverbial bag about her experience of growing up in the polygamist household. But mostly, she threw shade on the TLC Network alleging that they had exploited her sexuality for ratings.

People reported that Gwen said, “They were like, ‘Ooh, we have another queer. We’re going to exploit that. And make ourselves famous.” Will any of this force TLC to say goodbye to the Brown family? Only time will tell.
