Counting On: Duggar Fans Slam Jim Bob Duggar For ‘Neglectful’ Treatment Of His Son Jason In Resurfaced Video
The Duggars began their Reality TV show journey with TLC in 2008 when they had 17 kids. Back then, the show was titled 17 Kids and Counting. It kept up with the daily lives of the family as they awaited the birth of their eighteenth child.
The show which quickly grew in popularity, changed its titles over the years to 18 Kids and Counting, 19 Kids and Counting, and finally, Counting On.
Back when the kids were just 16, the family took a trip to Disneyland in 2006, and for want of something to talk about, an uninteresting event that took place that day got critics talking.
Counting On — Jim Bob Duggar Skipped Jason’s Name
Critics of the Duggar family are always in search of something to use in dragging members of the Duggar family. Recently, Jim Bob Duggar was on the receiving end of the backlash and it was over a resurfaced video featuring their 2006 Disneyland family trip.
In the video, the family all wore matching outfits of red shirts and navy blue pants for the men and navy blue ankle-length skirts for the women. Before each kid entered their train, Jim Bob conducted a roll call.
As he called, “Johanna, Mama, Justin, James, Jeremiah, Jedediah…” The reality tv star somehow skipped Jason’s name notwithstanding that the poor kid was standing right in front of him.
After Jason was “Josiah!” Whom Jim Bob called instead. But, upon realizing his mistake, Jim Bob screamed “Yeah, Jason too!” While making it seem as an obvious mistake.
Counting On — Fans’ Reaction To Jim Bob’s “Neglectful” Attitude To Jason
Somehow, the video made its way to Reddit, and Reddit users didn’t hold back in giving the Patriarch a piece of their minds. Someone said, “JB forgets Jason exists.”
And another replied, “The poor child was literally in front of him!!” A third added, “Is anyone surprised by the neglect? I’m more shocked that he can remember that many of their names!”
A fourth said, “This is also a ‘tell me you have too many kids without telling me you have too many kids.”
Meanwhile, Jim Bob’s wife Mitchell Duggar was recently roasted by fans for breaking the strict family rule about dressing the day she went to the beach.
The female Duggars made a strict dressing rule that no part of their body should be exposed by any means except for their faces. However, as Mitchell got to the beach in a decent enough attire, she rolled up her sleeves, a move that landed her in the harsh embrace of criticism.
