Mama June: Road to Redemption fans hoped that Dralin Carswell would be a good boyfriend for Alan Thompson, a.k.a Honey Boo Boo. Recently, they haven’t seen together on social media much, but they were definitely together on Tuesday, February 28. That’s when reportedly, her boyfriend ended up arrested for alleged DUI, drugs, and gun crimes. Naturally, WEtv fans had a lot to say about it.
Mama June: Dralin Carswell Was Arrested In The Past
Dralin Carswell told Josh Efird, the husband of Honey Boo Boo’s sister Alana (Pumpkin), that he would respect his girlfriend. Initially, all seemed good but then the news arrived that Dralin had a run-in with the law. While Honey Boo Boo wasn’t the victim of Dralin, court records revealed that he was arrested in May 2019 for the alleged statutory rape of a 15-year-old.
Mama June Road to Redemption fans wondered how Josh and Pumpkin would handle the news, Well, it seemed that they shrugged it off. After all, they were all seen together doing a meet and greet in Atlanta. Certainly, it looked like the boyfriend-girlfriend relationship continued. However, some folks wondered if they had broken up as Dralin wasn’t in the preview for the upcoming season of the WEtv show.
Mama June Fans Hear of A New Arrest
The Sun reported this week, that Dralin was arrested in Georgia. “According to police records,” the outlet reported, “Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, 17, was the passenger in older beau Dralin’s car as cops chased them through the streets of Georgia on Tuesday, February 28.” The outlet cited what went down from the police report and it involved a passenger apart from Alana as well. He was also arrested.
It’s not only Mama June fans who might worry about people like Honey Boo Boo. After all, the driver might break the rules of the road fleeing from cops, but the passengers can also end up in terrible danger. Anyway, the story revealed that allegedly, it took a pit maneuver to stop Dralin’s car. Inside, the car, cops found an “unregistered” firearm and a bag of weed.
WEtv Fans Discuss The Arrest On Reddit
When the news broke about the Mama June star allegedly being in a car with drugs and a gun , there were many comments on Reddit. Sadly, few people were surprised. Some of them opined that it’s not really Pumpkin’s fault if her sister took up with bad company. After all, she raises four other kids and she’s still in her 20s.
In the comments, u/EZasSundayMorning asked. “Is Pumpkin even paying attention???”
Meanwhile, u/nylady914 said, “Not surprised at this horrible news. But in truth, I have always felt that both Pumpkin and Josh were not appropriate role models for raising Alana. Sure; better than June; but honestly, who isn’t?”
Other followers felt sad because it seems that nobody was ever able to be a decent role model for Honey Boo Boo. At least there was some good news: Alana wasn’t arrested and her sister fetched her from the Monroe County Jail.
