My 600-Lb Life spoilers reveal that Dr. Now has had it with a new patient, Patrick Macon, after he has heard every excuse in the book. Patrick came to Dr. Now in hopes to lose weight and get his health on track. However, it has been hard for Patrick to even get out of bed in the morning. He cannot complete his everyday tasks and his body is ready to give up. He told the cameras, “When I wake up and see daylight I’m surprised to be still alive because my weight is killing me. Every day I dread it. I’m in pain. My body’s giving up on me and I hate it.”
Dr. Now Loses It
As soon as Patrick made his way from Georgia to Texas, he was already full of excuses for Dr. Now. If you have ever seen the show, you know that Dr. Now will not make excuses, he only wants to see motivation and change. Patrick weighs in at 657 pounds at his first meeting. Patrick knows that his wife and daughter feel like he is a burden to them and that is why he needed Dr. Now’s help. However, when Patrick refuses to follow the diet, Dr. Now gets incredibly upset.
After being on his program for six months, Dr. Now saw no change in Patrick and that is when Dr. Now tells him the ugly truth that no one wants to hear. He tells him, “There’s a lot of strain on your body with your weight and your condition so, I don’t think you should make that trip again because there is no point if you’re not making the changes you need. Especially this time, you almost gained 30 pounds. So, what happened?”
The Excuses Keep Flowing
When Dr. Now asked him about the weight gain, Patrick tells him that he got the flu and that he wasn’t eating right because of that. Of course, Dr. Now brings up the fact that people tend to lose weight when they get sick because they can’t eat. Dr. Now then asked him if he was going to keep making excuses or actually follow the program. Patrick told him, “There’s nothing about my weight that you can do for me. I mean, I need to show that I can lose weight. I can lose the weight, I just have to get off my own butt and do it.”
Dr. Now comes back with, “You come in here and you’re clearly not taking this seriously and think this is a joke. But there is no magic to save you.
