Return to Amish Spoilers: Fans Doubt Daniel Was Ever Really Amish

Return to Amish spoilers reveal that there are some questions about how real Daniel Miller’s story is. He was introduced on the seventh season of the show and hails from Hopkinton, Iowa. The Amish church that he belongs to was founded by his father. He is also a bishop there. When he introduced himself on the show, he told the cameras that he was rebellious and never felt like he fit in. In fact, in one of the opening scenes, he is in the barn drinking a beer and says, “The game that I like to play is just to see how much things I can do without getting caught.” After seeing this, many fans have started to dig more and they think that his entire storyline could be fake.

Daniel’s Story

In the last episode, he decided to show viewers around his town and he starts by showing the schoolhouse where he studied. He mentioned that when he was a kid, he would just look out the window at the cars and pretend he was driving one of them. He got the opportunity to go on a trip to Florida to finally figure out if he wants to stay in the Amish world or join the English one.

He tells the cameras, “The hardest thing to do is to tell my parents that I’m leaving. I mean, my dad’s job is a lot tougher because he’s trying to enforce the rules. And I don’t want to disrespect my dad.” Daniel may not want to disrespect his father, but he is ready to meet an English girl and have some fun! Daniel is going to Florida with Kenneth and Johnny in hopes of a new life.

Is This Story Fake?

From what fans have seen so far, they think that Daniel’s timeline may not be right. By looking at his social media account, he hasn’t been Amish for quite some time. In fact, he shared a photo in 2015 of him wearing normal, English clothing. In 2016, he was holding a beer and wearing a baseball hat. This was shocking because that would have made him only 17 years old at the time!

On his Facebook account, he wrote, “As most of you know, I grew up Amish. Today it marks 10 years since I graduated 8th grade in 2012, no I didn’t go to high school or college. I started a full-time job at 13 years old doing roofing, construction, and remodel work. April 23, 2017, I made a life-changing decision when I was 18.” That is when he said he went into the English world. By looking at the show, none of this adds up. We will continue to monitor this storyline in hopes that the truth will come out.
