Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant arrived and now it’s apparently gone after just three seasons. Like Teen Mom 2 and Teen Mom OG, ratings seemed dismal. MTV fans shouldn’t really be surprised as interest in the show dropped just like Young Moms Club.
Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant Dropped In Ratings
The show at least lasted longer than Young Moms Club which came and went in the blink of an eye. Actually, compared to the stunning ratings of the original shows, it seems that interest died away. In fact,, a lot of people complained that MTV was simply exploiting young girls who fell pregnant too young. Even the OG’s didn’t manage to hang on forever.
Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant was inevitable to end sooner rather than later. After all, experienced star Kailyn Lowry read the writing on the wall and she refused an offer to be on the new amalgamated Legacy show. Actually, for a while, although Jenelle Evans was heartily trolled and despised, fans lamented the days of her incredible drama. Undeniably, she was great for the ratings.
Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant Is Reportedly Ending
The Ashleys Reality Roundup reported the end of the show. According to their source, “Calls went out today to the cast and let them know it’s done.” Addiotnalllyu it wasn’t confined to just the girls. Others, like supporting cast members and production received the same news. Naturally, with such low ratings, it’s not a massive shock to hear the news. However, it’s going to hurt their pockets.
Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant fans objected to the show because these days, folks believe making stars out of young girls just encourages unwanted pregnancies. Mind you, MTV shot that theory down years ago, claiming it prevents them. Time has moved on though, and there’s a new generation of viewers. Bear in mind the regional edition premiered on MTV on December 8, 2009.
14 Years Of Young Moms
Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant stars might not attract the same interest as viewers from 14 years ago. Having babies doesn’t seem to especially rock the new generation. After all, it seems lame and tame in comparison to Love on the Spectrum U.S and Below Deck Adventure.
Those looking for more seasons will likely be disappointed. The franchise managed to flesh out five different seasons by bringing in Part Bs to the show. Even so, it seems to have reached the end of the line now. So for now, it’s probably goodbye to people like Madisen Beith. Perhaps in time, MTV will find other slots that the cast members can fill.
