Why Jill & Derick Dillard Aren’t Invited Back
One fan took to the DuggarsSnark subreddit to speculate why Jill and Derick Dillard aren’t invited back to the Duggar compound. They have denounced themselves from the controversial family for their strict Christian views and affiliation with the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). However, the real reason they might not be allowed back is because of financial reasons.
The user with the name “AndDontCallMePammie” speculated, “The files and emails pertaining to TLC agreements, and family/company finances! That’s why they’re not allowed at the house without JB and Meech.”
Jill and Derick Dillard admitted they had to reach out to TLC to get a copy of the contracts they signed. If she didn’t request the remainder of the contracts and correspondence, there could be a lawsuit. The original poster also speculated whether Jim Bob designates a computer for finances, contracts, and correspondences with TLC.
This could keep the finances and contracts out of Jill and Derick’s hands. This is especially the case since the kids didn’t know what they were signing into. If they visited Jim Bob and Michelle, they could get their hands on the finances and contracts. However, they only ended up with what they could get their hands on.
Bad Influence on Younger Duggars?
Other fans took to the thread to react. Most of them shared why they think Jill and Derick Dillard aren’t invited back to the Duggar home. They could be a bad influence on the younger siblings. Jim Bob and Michelle might fear that they could rub off on the younger ones.
Other fans called out the parents for their hypocrisy. They allowed Josh around their younger siblings, yet they won’t allow Jill and Derick Dillard to interact with them. Regardless, fans feel bad for Jill. They think TLC should pay her for her appearances on 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On.
This comes on the heels of the revelation that Jill signed her contract before her wedding. She didn’t want to air her birth on the show, but she was already contractually obligated.
