Doubling Down With The Derricos (DDWTD) star Darian has 13 siblings and a devoted mom and dad. Actually, as she’s the oldest of all those kids, TLC fans feared that she might end up being a free nanny to her siblings. However, her mom and dad, Karen and Deon encouraged her to live her own life and now she has been accepted into an excellent college.

In January this year, TLC fans got a hint that Darian, 17, would further her education. That came when her mom, Karen went onto the Instagram page of the NYU Tisch School of the Arts. You might recall that about a year ago, Darien attended an arts summer camp. Later, her mom showed her oldest daughter filling in an application form. This week, her mom revealed which college she will attend.
The Doubling Down With The Derricos family all piled into their two vehicles and road-tripped from Nevada to New York. Add up the parents, GiGi the grandma, the helpers, and the kids, and you have one long trip. However, the family seems used to traveling and nobody got lost. Sometimes, things get a bit wild in the Derrico house, but, not when it comes to travel and TV interviews.
Doubling Down With The Derricos: Which College For Darian?
The reason why the massive family made the journey was to meet with the hosts of Good Morning America (GMA.) During the interview, it turned out that Karen spilled that her daughter was accepted at NYU! It was also revealed that Darian had gotten a job. Additionally, it was mentioned that Darian has always enjoyed her independence.
Doubling Down With The Derricos fans heard Karen express a sense of sadness at her daughter wanting to branch out. However, Deon couldn’t help but laugh at Darian’s remark about her love for independence. Nonetheless, it seems like Darian has a great relationship with her parents and siblings. Clearly, as she moves onward and upwards, she won’t be cutting ties with them.
