General Hospital spoilers reveal Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is suffering with a terminal illness, ALS. Only having shared the reality of his condition with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Gregory is expecting that he will be able to keep his illness a secret until such a time that it becomes impossible to conceal his symptoms. But a new wrinkle in his plan is going to turn everything on its head. Elizabeth Baldwin’s (Rebecca Herbst) new role as Head Nurse at GH has brought forth many new responsibilities piling upon her plate. She welcomes them with pride, knowing it was time for her to advance her career in light of being down one kid at home anyway. But Elizabeth hadn’t considered the kind of information she would be trusted with in taking this promotion.

Before, it was easy to dodge the personal information of anyone she knew because she simply wouldn’t be their nurse. Now, she knows the health information of every patient that comes through the hospital. That’s going to prove problematic when one of them is Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) father.

GH Spoilers Hint Finn Wants a Second Chance at Love with Liz

This may not have been such a complication for Liz if it wasn’t for the fact that she and Finn are clearly headed for a reconciliation. So when she finally gets up the nerve to tell him how she feels and finds that he returns her affection, Liz is going to be on cloud nine thinking they are probably headed for a happy ending. Then, it’s going to hit her hard when she comes upon Gregory’s patient file and realizes she won’t be able to share what she finds it in with Finn.

A conversation between Gregory and Elizabeth will fortunately free her of the ties that bind her to this secret. But it’s not going to be a quick or easy process for Gregory to tell his sons the truth. Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Finn won’t be expecting this, despite their dad’s odd behavior as of late.
