Mama June spoilers reveal that Sugar Bear Thompson has been MIA lately. He recently was checked into drug rehab and was supposed to fly into Kansas on Thursday of last week. He was to start treatment at the Odom Recovery Group. According to sources though, he never got on his plane and checked out of rehab before he even got there. Let’s find out what happened.
Sugar Bear and His Drug Habit
From the looks of their family, Alana Thompson’s mother, June Shannon and now her father, Sugar Bear both have had horrible issues with drugs and alcohol. Alana’s fans are happy that she has dodged yet another parent who chose to use hard drugs. It turns out that Sugar Bear has been addicted to prescription pain pills and he uses these to control the pain he has from diabetes.
Lamar Odom’s drug rehab center is just what Sugar Bear needs in order to get his life back on track. However, if he isn’t showing up, he’s not going to get the help that he needs. There have been multiple sources coming out and talking about how Sugar Bear got cold feet and that is why he bailed on going to rehab. At first, he did tell them that he couldn’t get out of work and that was why, but then he told them that he was having health issues and was in the hospital.
Sugar Bear and Odom
Recently, on social media, Sugar Bear appeared with Lamar Odom. Of course, fans were shocked to see this, but feel that perhaps Sugar Bear told Lamar his story and that was why he seemed to be perfect for Odom’s program. Lamar once battled drugs and alcohol himself and now is dedicated to helping others to get sober. He has three different rehab centers all over the country.
From the looks of it, Odom and his team would love to have Sugar Bear at the facility. However, it is up to him to decide what he will do. Will he decide to take this opportunity to get sober or will he continue to use drugs? After seeing his family get ruined by drugs and alcohol, his fans think that this would help him to make his choice, but from what we have seen, he is in no hurry to get clean. We will continue to keep an eye on him and hope that he makes the right choice for himself and for his family.
